This workshop focuses on deep, embodied listening in connection with others. Through dance and movement, we explore "being with what is," practice nervous system regulation, and deepen somatic consent.

Zeit & Ort

20. Juli 2025, 10:00 – 17:00

Anstad, Vakuum, Bern, Sandrainstrasse 39a, 3007 Bern, Schweiz

Workshop Description:

This workshop focuses on deep listening at a physical level in connection with others. We will explore, through movement, the state of “being with what is,” paying attention to when we may be forcing or withdrawing, both in contact with others and within ourselves.

The emphasis will be on relaxation and nervous system regulation. Through shared movement and dance, we will investigate the concept of somatic consent, examining the extent to which consent has multiple layers.

In the exploration of relating without forcing or withdrawing, where is the path of willingness and availability?

Facilitator: David Schäppi (he/him)

David is a playful movement enthusiast and dancer, passionate about relating, intimacy and exploring how we can attune to one another to enter a shared flow. Continuously learning from various disciplines—from Gestalt therapy to martial arts—he primarily facilitates workshops and retreats in CH/DE/IT.

Vakuum is a space lovingly built by young people from Bern through crowdfunding. The idea behind Vakuum is to create more room for movement, theatre, and workshops - accessible to everyone, regardless of financial means.

At the same time, we want to ensure that the educational work on consent is fairly compensated.

Here’s how it works: You can reserve your spot with a CHF 10 deposit (if this is not possible for you, write us an email). At the end of the workshop, there will be a donation (Twint or cash). This money goes toward covering the payment for David for his preparation, facilitation and to the clean up at the end.
